ACT clutch
Does anyone know the difference between the Act Street disc kit AI2-XT00-600110 and Hybrid Street disc kit AI2-XTSS-600110. The both hold 319 ft-lb but one cost 65 bucks more. Any help is appreciated

I would like to gather where you think act is crap. It is a good clutch for the money, sorry we arent all ballers and cant afford twin disc clutches that we dont even make the power for.
And for your question I am not sure of the difference either but I am sure you could email act and they would glad to help you out.

I don't go shooting my wad off about stuff I don't have any clue about. I only say this because there was a huge thread few years ago about how crappy act is. no less than 20 people (including myself) came forward to complain about various issues with ACT clutches blowing before the 1000 mile mark. Do a search on ACT and ACTMAN and you'll fing at leat 50 different reasons why not to buy ACT...

Re: (MiraiZ)
Well i have had several different act clutches, and not had one problem with any. So I dont go shoooting my wad off without a reason either, I too am going by personal experience. You also said this was a few years back, maybe they had some problems back then but since I have been buying their clutches in the last 3 yrs I have not had one problem out of them and they have lasted me quite some time at that.

Re: (2000BoostedEX)
Sure they could have cleaned up their act (no pun intended) since then, but Dirk refused to admit that they had a design flaw in their product until 20 other people came foward with the same exact problem I had.
Not all of their clutches had the flaw, but by the time Dirk decided to do anything about it I had already bought my new clutch and had it replaced. And I was too pissed at ACT so I just tossed their cluch in the dumpster with the rest of the crap.
All I am saying is do the researxh..there are tons of threads on this (negative and positive)...don't rely on just a few people's opinions (esp. mine)
