AC Fan
I drive a 99 Civic Si with a LSVTEC and GT2871R turbo. My problem is the internal wastegate on the turbo sticks out too far and will not allow the AC fan to be put back in the car. The only low profile ones I see are the universal with fin through hangers. The problem with that is the factory fan bolts to the condenser and to the frame. The condenser itself has to no way to be secured to the frame without the fan attatched to it. Any ideas would be great. I also asked this in the EK forum...I wasn't sure which was more appropriate. Thanks for the help.

so you're saying you need a fan, and you'll probably most likely need a slim fan....but the condenser is held to the frame by the fan bolts....
i would say, can't you get some short bolts to put the condensor to the frame. and just get a slim fan.
or am i missing something here?

Re: AC Fan (BlownBlackSi)
I had the same problem with my '99 Si. I modified the bracket that holds the AC part with the fan on it to make some room and still hold the fan, then I put a slim pusher fan on the other side of the AC part with the ties that go through the fins. Here are some pictures:

a cheap and effective way to solve this problem is to just put the slim fan on the condensor, and zip tie the condensor to the radiator support or even the bumper support to hold it back.
cheap, easy, and it works
