Default about jc whitney mandrel pipes

the site says the material is "almuminized steel" so is this aluminum or mild steel? i'm curious because if i order a bov, i need to know what kind of welding is required... thanks

its steel that's dipped in aluminum alloy. it has surface characteristics of aluminum and strength of steel. im guessing to weld it, just tell them its aluminized steel they should know what to do.

it's what any decent muffler shop would use. only ******** use regular steel as it rusts in about 2 weeks. you can weld it just like normal.

Don't breathe the fumes. Hell even with regular mild steel I try not to breathe the fumes.
