Default ? about Full Race kits.

First I've been all over the net looking @ other mix & match set ups & know about what my goals are. F/R kits I've never seen in person but I have heard they are well made & fitment is perfect. I'll be using the platform of a B18C5 w/ G/E sleeves, 9:1 comp pistons, 3 angle valve job & thats about it. Looking to make 450 to 500 whp. To get to the point, is the F/R kits really worth the $$ or piece one together /w mix & match parts? Also, is it also worth it to shell out bucks for the ball bearing chargers? Thanks.

first select the turbo that will put your power where you want it. not how much it can make.

second, speaking from my exp with my fullrace kit, with the exception of the charge pipe having to be trimmed to fit the edelbrock mani, fitment was spot on. imho, it is worth it if you dont want to piece something together, or just want stuff you know will work together.

If you want to save a couple grand, piece it together yourself. If you have the dough to throw around F/R or Peakboost ftw

I helped my friend install a full-race turbo kit on his rsx and the quality is top notch. robotic welds, no fitment issues...

You can also call them and have someone assist you in picking the right stage kit and turbo for you. Great customer support.

Imo if you can afford it, get it.

Thanks guys. Really apreciate the input. When I go w/ the larger sleeves I'm sure the charger will spool just a bit quicker than it would w/ the stovk size sleeves.
