I am still debating on a setup...
d16 block
stock bore
vitara pistons
eagle's
Stock head vtec/non-vtec don't matter
BMC mani
16g(good for 20psi?)
Johny racecar intercooler
Uberdata
i dont know if 450's wouldbe enough
I'm steal searching around,i did not expect everybody to figure out everything for me...

Not necessarily true. My buddy here is pushing 21lbs with a T3/T04E (dont know the wheel trims) on pump gas with CP pistons, Eagle rods and stock sleeves. Granted he has a very good tune and doesnt push the RPM.

To be honest I am going to say no. I dont think a D series with a stock bottom end would last at 20lbs from your run of the mill T3/T04E or T3/T04B on pump gas.

I only read this post. I'm not familiar with the Suzuki Vitara pistons. What would your final compression ratio be at with Suzuki Vitara pistons. 20lbs with a 16G, good tuning and keeping the RPM conservative you should be fine.

Vitara pistons are known to hold up to 22psi,they are mad of higher grade materials and have beefier ringlands.the eagles should hold fine.

I destroyed my dads 2.9 ford ranger block by trying to take the pulley off when we took it apart to rebuilt it.The pulley was giving me a real hard time.
New Block:$180
New pulley:$60
Learning that you should use a puller to remove pulley:priceless

Re: 93 octane @20psi? (wantboost)
I've done 20psi on a stock LS on shell 93 octane. Mydyno sheet is on here somewhere. The car is still running stock. I tuned the car myself. check out my sig

Re: 93 octane @20psi? (wantboost)
Its doable as long as the charge system is efficient at the flow and boost levels. Static compression is going to have to be around 8:1 however.
I wouldn't want to daily drive it at those boost levels. Your going to run into periodic detonation due to things out of your control. Their really isn't a good enough detonation management system on the market to take care of you in these instances.

Yeah,i was thinking maybe 16psi daily driven and 20psi at the track.
On a y7 the comp. is 8.5:1,but i think a little higher on z6.i still dont know what head i'm gonna use...
