92 octane pump
if the only fuel u have available in the area is 92 pump, what would be the maximum level of boost physically possible if ur running 9:1 CR pistons.
Im asking this because im considering rebuilding my engine and id like to run abit higher compression than the 8:1 CR that i have now.
I understand that different octane fuels predetonate at higher cylinder pressures, so id like to know the maximum boost possible on 92 octane at 9:1 CR.
Any help would be appreciated. thanks

Re: 92 octane pump (freakie)
There is alway propane injection. I know little on the subject because I am still researching it myself.
But Ive read that you can up the psi with a shot of propane because it has a octane rating of 110. And propane can be had at almost every other gass station.
h20injection.com has some info.

I have little to say on that. But the best advice I can give is to seek professional, and reputable assistance. If you dont feel you are not capable of assembling and tuning a engine yourself. I sure as hell know Im not capable of tuning.
The people here can debate till the cows come home on that subject and it usally comes down to having the correct setup and having a compotent tuner.
They could probably give you a general number but you have to list more of your setup, to give more of an idea what your block will be capable of.
If there was a specific number out there im sure everyone would know about it. I would look into what peoples street gas setups are instead of specifics, if you are assembling a whole new setup because there are too many probabilities out there.
With that said im am still learning too . Like I stated above.
Good luck
