Default 84mm gsr turbo

I just recently brought a 99gsr swap from import auto salvage. I just ordered some 84mm 9.1 CP pistons and some manley rods ...I am gonn have my block sleeved soon. Either benson or RS. I am thinking about using an sc61E trim... Is it pobbible to make 300+whp on 10psi on this setup ??? with this compression ? thanks for anyinfo...If u have any dyno sheets with a similar setup please post.....thanks Danny

i dont see why you cant.
my 9:1 motor did 392 on 10.5 psi with its prev owner with the same turbo.
boosted hybrid did 379 or so with stock GSR botom end with 3mm headgasket.

definitely possible. hondahvn 's car made 372 at 9lbs. sc61 i think at the time. 83mm gsr 10:1

a few other members have made 300+ at low boost.

I'm curious why you're worried about it being at 10lbs of boost? That turbo will easily (obviously) make 300 hp, so if it does it at 9olbs or it does it at 14lbs, what would be the problem? Tuning will also play a big part in determining the numbers.

Yup...

Like others have said, close to 400whp is possible with 10psi from that turbo...assuming all other factors are taken care of.

I will be shooting for around 400whp on pump gas with this turbo on a 84mm B18C1..

You should easily hit 300whp @ 10psi with that turbo.

No offense, but why the hell would you go to the trouble of getting your block sleeved, and getting forged internals, and then run 10 pounds of boost. Two words, BLATANT OVERKILL!

I absolutely disagree. The best way to ever build a performace motor is to overbuild it!
