81.5mm
94 gsr, the motor has been turbo'd for 13000miles now and it needs a bottom rebuild sittin at 153k. rings and compression are giving up. i was thinking about honing it to 81.5mm just to be safe as to a smooth wall to wall. i was aiming for about 400-450, will this .5mm overbore be a problem? i just plan on the following: Eagle H beam, je 9:1, acl race bearing, cometic headgasket, oem water pump, type r oil pump, toda timing belt. anything else suggested welcomed.

Re: 84.5mm (boostedcivicsir)
As long as your sleeved you will be okay at 84.5. I ran 84.5 for a very long time. BTW get the Golden Eagle OEM overbored gasket. Never has failed me. Your setup is similar to the setup I just parted out.

Re: 84.5mm (AMR Engineering)
if he's only running 7lbs i doubt its a sleeved block....
84.5mm bore to me is taking to much of a chance on stock sleeves.... i would just go to 81.5mm and turn up the boost a lil if your wanting more power

Well if you look in his sig, he has plans for sleeving the motor. So we really do not know what he is doing. That is why I stated that "as long as your sleeved you will be okay"
On the stock sleeves 81.5 is the max. I have seen people go 82mm, but I would not recommend it on the stock sleeves, especially with boost.

Man U FTW
if you're on the stock sleeves, that'll never happen. If you're getting sleeved now, i wouldnt immediately bore it to 84.5mm because you have little room for error at that point. An 83mm bore would be a great compromise as far as performance vs re-usability (i dont think that's a word, but hey...who cares)

gotta admit man, i couldnt say it better. very solid advice.
take it from me who went 81mm on aftermarket sleevves, just to go 84mm a year later. 83 i think gives you about a 1.9L and is a great place to start

also the turbo i'm using is a standard turbonetics t3/to4e .57 trim, a/r: .50/.63. i read that this turbo is only good to 400whp @ about 20psi? can i get a little more but switching to a .60 compressor? i'm also planning on running 110 octane...
