Re: 600whp!!! (flip1199)
if you could you'd really be maxing that turbo out.........you'd be way out of its efficiency range. if you want to make 600whp i'd use a different turbo, but i think it's probably possible to answer your question.

The GT35R's will make about ~675 WHP absolutely maxing them out. They're a perfect choice for a 600 WHP setup. I don't know why everyone wants to go overkill and size up so you can add an extra 300 WHP down the road, "just in case".

"Just in case" is the American way. We just stock up on useless crap and overkill everything.

Yeah if you pay somebody that knows what they are doing to build it for you, but if you have to ask I doubt you could do it on your own.

if you search my name for my setup last year i made 605 @27 psi on a gt35 with h22 and it was def . running out of breath but i would make sure you are working with a stout bottom end and if you are planning on running a setup like this at the track with slicks def invest in good axels ,clutch, and i would invest in a external oil pump system IMO

Re: 600whp!!! (icebergli)
i'm just saying that if you want to make 600whp, why get a turbo that is rated at 600whp?.......instead get one that's rated at 750-800whp, that way you aren't kicking it's *** every time you push the gas.
that's like saying, i'm gonna bungee jump from a 100 foot bridge, and give myself enough cord to drop about 100ft. down. you need to give the turbo at least a little slack.
ok, now hold on a sec while i pop open my hater umbrella so i don't get rained on by the dyno queens.

Why would you get rained on by dyno queens? They would be saying "Booyah, run a PT76 so you have 900 WHP potential with zero powerband!"
Just because the 35R is "rated" at about 600 WHP doesn't mean that's the max it will make, and buying a turbo that will make 750 or 800 WHP when you're shooting for 600 is a poor choice. It will give you more lag, make your car slower, and less fun to drive. 600 WHP from a 35R is not overspinning it, and is the perfect choice for a driveable 600 WHP. Last time I checked, I didn't run my car around on straight C16 and 28 psi all day long, so I'm not "kicking my turbos ***" every time I get on it either.

Re: 600whp!!! (bootlegcivic)
Evans told me recently he has never had a 1.8L top 550whp......I know what I read so either he or I was mistaken if there is a 650who car.
He told me this when he read my thread about my build and my power goals.
Update* Sorry....he was refering to a 60-1 T3 Based turbo which I have
