ok... i sold my 57 trim for a new turbo i am going 83mm lsvtec with all forged bottom end and built head... but for the time being for about 2-3 months i have bone stock ls motor....i planned on getting a 60-1 for my new set up... but i was going to run it on the ls motor till motor is built... how will this turbo spool on a ls..and how far should i push the stock bottom end to???? on pump gas

i ran the 60-1 with a .63 exhaust on a stock ls for a few weeks. it didnt build full boost until a tad over 5000 rpms (10-11psi) and by about 4000 rpms it had around 3-4 psi going. the car felt smooth up top in boost, but i had that turbo on directly after i was using the 57 trim and it sucked because of the lag. a tighter geared tranny than the ls will make the 60-1 much nicer on the stock ls motor

I agree, it will lag very badly on a stock LS. But I guess since it's only for a few months, go for it.
