Default 50 or 57 trim

the setup is b16a1 with itr cams
2,5 carge piping equal lengd manifold
3" downpipe
reving 8700
and planing to boost 17psi, now i am boosting 14 with a to4b 48trim

what is best the 50 or 57. i made a calulating and i think the 50 trim is better when you look at these pictures.
a 50 trim also should spool faster.

iam using it as a daily driven car. but i want plenty of horse power to. around 380 whp

dot one is 4500 rpm 8 psi of boost
dot 2 is 5500 and 17psi boost
dot 3 is 6600 17 psi of boost
dot 4 is 8500 17 psi of boost

and i put a picture of the t04b to. it is not a effective turbo

i would go with a 50 trim compressor and a .63 turbine or if you really don't care about lag bump it up to a .82 hotside

the 50 trim is more efficient
i like it it a poor man's gt3071r

I suggested 50trim w/ .63a/r for 380whp

It would be real responsive for street driving.

57 trim imo, it dosent really effect spool but it will give you more room for max power later on.

I agree, the spool time will be neglible between the two...probably around 300 rpm's difference(not much when your boosting and r's are moving fast). 57 trim leaves room to grow and will be better IMO. 50 trim will still do the job, but definetly don't go with a .48 a/r though, .63 a/r is going to be much better. I know it's a d16, but here's what I think is a good read comparing the two:
