Default 42r oil pressure

this is the second time that my 42r began leaking oil on the exhaust side. the first time was with a brand new 42r and lasted about three months, then sent it to garrett bb program, got a new chra and within two months again it began buring oil through the exhaust. the engine makes about 75psi at wot. never had this problem with my gt40r. anyone have a clue as to why this is happening?

i do believe garrett requires restrictors for ball bearing CHRA's. im suprised they didnt tell you that. -4an is way too big for a BB turbe especially if theres no restrictor. i had problems just running a -3 on my BB 50 trim until i put a small (.045 i think) restrictor on it.

they required me a -3an so you might want to look into that.

we use this restictor and havent had any problems yet, we used to get oil out of the exh side all the time when we did not run the restrictor. this uses a -4an inlet

Ebay or couple other places. There are a few different versions.

I have one on my non BB SC6152E, just because it has a -4an feed.

atp sells this "make your own restrictor" fitting . we used it on a GSX with a 50 trim and a -4an feed that smoked, after we used this with about a 1/16 hole it stopped smoking. http://www.atpturbo.com/Mercha...e=BCS
