400whp/14psi--Civic Radiator VS aftermarket: Which one; Why?
Another one of my posts
Its time to get a radiator for my setup. Ive spoke with Earl breifly and figure Ill just make a post about it.
I want to know why I want a aftermarket rad vs stock say civic or dual del sol one?
Does all it come down to is size?

It's not the size of the radiator that counts its the flow of fluid through the core's that gets the girls.
But seriously. I was running a stock rad on my last car and when I blew my motor cracked a sleeve the top of the radiator came apart. Like blew open. I switched to a C&R half and noticed my water temps were a little lower then when I was running the stock rad and my car did not get hot when i was stuck in traffic.
On my new car I when running down the highway doing over 80 and my rpms are above 4k my water temp does not even reach halfway. I am running fluidine half rad in my new car.
Not sure if that helps at all.

Well, I have the del sol dual core and it works fine, I have never overheated with it, unless you count the time that my radiator hose came off and I lost all my coolant

Well Im thinking since I live in Washington State it doent get super hot up here much at all. I know a ton of guys that are running just a stock civic one. If the dual delsol is a bit better.... Im sure Ill be fine. I just wanted to get a good opinion on it. I think OEM will work out just fine.

I live in North Carolina, and it's been 90+ here for weeks, with 90%+ humidity. I run a full length radiator (Teg I think) it's really close to the turbo housing. but I never, ever have had any overheating problems.
