Default 400 whp D16 ESSENTIALS

I am wondering what is the bare minimun I can do to mod my Z6 to make AT LEAST 400whp on an aggressive tune?
I plan on using Ealge Rods
Vitara's
ACL bearings
Intake Manifold (not sure on brand)
Log Manifold custom fab'd by GoAutoworks
70mm t.b

I have the whole turbo kit that I am going to be using which is a Precision SC6169sp
Tial 38mm with 10.5 lb spring
Tial BOV 50mm with 11lb spring
2.5 piping
27 by 11 by 3 inch FMIC
750cc Seimen Dekas
I know you can make 400whp EASY on a stock B series head but im new to the D series so I want to know if this is possible.

Note: This setup is going to be my daily driver so I might only want 370whp or so on a conservative setup and 400+ on an aggresive setup on Crome Pro, help me out here H-T

Stock head will be fine as long as you aren't revving it much over stock rev limit.

You don't need an intake mani/tb, but they would help.

You will need a walbro fuel pump, ARP studs, 3 bar map sensor, and upgrading from a log would help, but not necessary. And you will need race gas or E85, so figure that out. Race gas sucks for DD, E85 will need bigger injectors, or tune for lower boost on pump gas for DDing.

Yeah most def. I had planned on using some ARP studs as well as a Hondata 4 bar MAP and I only ask about such a simple setup because summer is coming to a close and I want to be able to get this car up and running since I ditched the B series build and wanted to go with something I could afford to maintain

Sounds great guys. I mean in the future I plan on upgrading and whatnot but for right now I need a vehicle and I know this type of build would be easy to attain and very cheap to build as well as maintain. Well I already have a Blox Intake Manifold coming my way and planned on using a 70mm t.b. The turbo kit shouldn't be a problem seeing as how im using a very big FMIC, a Precision SC61 series and 2.5" piping along with 750's for injectors and a walbro 255

log manifold will make it more difficult to achieve your goal. invest in a good manifold.

a lot of the stuff you have is pretty good start. the major deal to making power tho, is your tuner! you need a good one that knows exactly what hes working with!!

Well I can probably get my hands on another Blurr style manifold like I had for my B series for pretty cheap

i would use FJT's custom length I beams.. raise compression back up into the 8.5:1 range as opposed to the 7.5:1 range (not completely sure on the exact numbers, but i know it's the reason i got them lol) and they've been proven to 603 HP by jfk78 from speedfactory.. they lasted, just that one of the pistons came apart..

if im not mistaken fjt's rods are on backorder though arent they??
to get those numbers on a sohc your going to have to run race gas, doesnt make for a friendly dd lol

hit goautoworks up and check the pricing on a miniram if you havent bought a manifold yet. his pricing is pretty good.. he also has rods out for the sohc crowd now also.
im running just about everything i can of his on my turbo gsr build... im VERY happy with everything ive gotten from him and the customer service afterwards... that alone would make me buy from him again.

id shoot him an email and see what he can do for you
