Default 3bar Map Problems!

I just installed my 3 bar map sensor and drove my car and it ran like crap. I check the volts and I got a 2.2volts. Hondata said I should get a 1.6. Anyone have a clue to why I'm having this problem?

Make sure that your ecu is chiped for a 3 bar map sensor

where did you get your 3 bar map? are you sure it is a 3 bar? you can check to see how high you have to pressurize it to make the voltage output go to 5 volts

I got it from an AC/Delco parts dealer. I called AC/Delco to double check the part number any they said is was right.

Then what are you using that allows the use of a 3-Bar?

I had a similar problem and it turned out that the clip where the wire is connected was slightly loose.

It may just be that?

Can you tell me how the ECU would effect the voltage of the map sensor? Keep in mind the stock stock map has correct voltage.

Look, if the voltage coming out of the MAP sensor is 2.2 when it should be 1.6 it's obvious the sensor is the problem. Either the wiring is jacked up (5v source, not 12v, right?) or your sensor is busted or the wrong one. If you can't share your big-*** secret then I doubt anyone can help any further.

Just check the wiring and it's fine and I just tried a GN map and it reads 2.3volts. It's great to have friends with nice cars.

I need my 18psi!
