Default Is this a 3bar or 2 bar sensor (voltages inside)

Got my new map sensor installed tonight but have a question:

Are the following voltages representative of a 2 or a 3 bar sensor?

1.6V = Atmosphere
2.2V = 5 psi
2.6V = 10 psi
3.2V = 15 psi
3.7V = 20 psi
4.2V = 25 psi
4.8V = 30 psi
5.0V = 32 psi

This was verified on two different pressure gauges.

The part number on the sensor is 16040749.

I was always under the assumption that a 3bar sensor should max its voltage out at 3 bar (45psi). Or does it consider the vacuum range as one of the "bars"?

Not really worried about it, but wanted to get everyones input.

base on the number it should be a 3bar map sensor

Guess thats why hondata's sight says

"By using a GM 3 bar MAP sensor boost up to 28 lbs can be read"

Just kinda strange since 28 psi is ~ 2 bar.

the full range of the sensor measures 3 bars. one of vacuum and two pressure

29 psi is two bar.

The GM sensor is apparently +/- 3% or so, causing readingds above 29 psi. You're also using a service grade vacuum/pressure gauge, so I doubt it's a highly calibrated instrument.

It's a 3 bar, enjoy.

hey niedejb, which color is the map signal wire? is it the yellow and white?

what about the 5 volts wire??

i took the voltage of each wire 1st wire is 5.2 volts, 2nd wire is 4.8 volts, and the 3rd is .3 volts, so is the 4.8volts wire the signal wire?

Use the wiring from here:

Colors matched up.
