this doesnt exactly sound like an oil related issue unless vtec isnt engaging. what makes you think the problem is related to lack of oil restrictor? oil restrictors just restrict oil feed pressure to the turbo. if it had anything to do with lack of oil pressure, and you are revving to redline, your asking for trouble.

Re: (RTW DC2R)
yes vtec isnt engaging and everything else has been done except the oil restrictor.
i have tried multiple ecus and wiring harnesses. and becasue the oil feed is off of the pump we figured alot of the pressure is going to the turbo and not enough to the vtec solenoid.

hook up an oil pressure gauge off the back of the block in the stock location. Or disconnect the injector clips and plugs, turn the car over, see if you get oil on the cams. If you do then you have atleast some pressure. I would think that unless there was a big gaping hole in the oil system somewhere, the block/head would still get pressurized and have enough oil pressure to engage vtec.

Re: (RTW DC2R)
yeah i think im just going to put the oil restictor in for now just to see if that helps.
if it doesnt, any other suggestions? the oil level stays full between oil changes.

Re: (RTW DC2R)
yep the vtec worked great before the turbo setup, vtec solenoid had been tested and works good that is why i have resorted to the oil restrictor.
have you heard of any similar problems after turbo installs on vtec cars?

I've never had issues before. The best place is to tee into where the oil pressure sensor is on the back of the block (below the oil filter).

should i just give the oil restrictor a shot cause i can hear vtec but its really weak and its not making any power
also should my car make a noticable difference in vtec?
