350whp from 6psi on LS/VTEC?
I have a good friend that says that one of his friends supposedly laid down 350whp on just 6psi of boost on a fully built LS/VTEC engine.
Enigine has AEM EMS, JG head, JG intake manifold, 84.5mm bore low CR pistons, etc.
I have no idea on specs for the turbo, sorry.
I told him I just don't think it is possible. *Maybe* with on-the-edge-tuning and race gas?
Thoughts?

Well, first off anything is possible..
But, no that does not sound feasible... Say he built the motor high compression and had it at 220 ish to the wheels.. then put a turbo on and added a bunch more fuel and boosted 6psi. I dont think you can get over 20hp per 1 psi of boost.. i just dont think thats feasible.. under three hundrred MAYBe... 280 MAYBE. more like 260 ish or so...
but, who knows.

They are supposed to be lower CR, so again I too was thinking no way.
A friend of mine with a fully built B18C1 is pushing 350whp on 15psi of boost with pump gas with AEM EMS and 11.8:1 A/F ratios.
He concurred that he diesn't believe it at all.

You see b18c5 making close to 300 on 6.5-7 psi, but again u say hes runnign low compression so i would say Nope. Ask himn for a dyno sheet and that should answer your ? ummm ummm i lost it.
you get my point.
you get my point.

A local guy here turned out 372whp/231 tq @ 9psi on his 10:1 GSR motor- 83mm bore, SC61 turbo. he had conservative tuning, pump gas, and a stock GSR head(only upgrade valvesprings/retainers)
With head work, OS valves, Extra displacement from the LS stroke/84.5mm bore and more aggressive tuning I definitly see it being possible.
Ultimatly it depends on what size turbo he is running, do u happen to know or can u find out?

Well thats what I was thinking. a hugely gross sized turbo and a undrivable car track only a t-100 thumper series that spooled 6psi at 7600RPM and maybe it would do it. just my thoughts
was getting 270 out of my stock LS @ 10psi, haven't dynoe'd it again since it's been built. Built LS/Vtec.... it is possible but definately not at 6 psi
