Default 300whp a realistic Target?

hey all, iv been reading some of the posts and have been thinking for a while.

EG civic Sedan with B18C engine conversion.

How would a B18C1, displacement increased to 2000cc, running 12-15 psi on 9.0:1 c/p ratio sound? is the comp too high for a daily driver on 1 bar boost?

How big would my injectors need to be?

What is sleeving?

DIfference between Shot-peened rods and Billet rods? Which is better?

Is 300hp@wheels a realistic figure?

Would N20 be a good idea with such boost and compression ratio levels?

This engie would be built btw, and have cams and gears to eliminate overlap.

how would reliability be if i built the engine? Would it still be a daily driver?

thnx for all your help

reliability depends on your driving habbits, and how well designed the setup is.

9:1 and 300 HP is easily doable on 91 octane or better gasoline.

shot peening is a process of treating rods, not actual fabrictaion. You basically fling metal ***** at the rods to eliminate any surface cracks that could lead to a more severe crack/failure in the rod.

Billet means that the unit was CNC'd out of a solid peice of metal.

Sleeving is basically what you do to an engine to make sure it has the proper cylinder wall thickness to take the cylinder pressures under boost, especially open deck engines.

you remove the stock sleeves, and install aftermarket units.

for 300 HP i would go with 550cc/min and give yourself a small buffer.
You can run nitrous if you want to, but really if it's done right there is no need... you will just burn the tires if you hit it..
