Default 3 inch intercooler piping?

would this be good? i just bought an intercooler and failed to notice that it has a 3 inch inlet and a 3 inch outlet. what are my options, i was hoping to run 2.5 inch piping.

2.5" piping is probably too big also...my IC has 2.5" in and out so I used silicone reducers to connect 2" in and 2.25" out to it.

Use a reducer.

What about at 22psi? Would like 2.25 in and 2.5 out be too much? I'm using the car for street/strip. . .

2.25 inch piping should be good till about 500hp....just use a reducer. Do not use 3 inch. piping as you will loose velocity.

it is FORCED INDUCTION...
velocity and pressure is FAR more important that volume...

I'd take smaller volume at higher pressure any day than bigger volume at lower pressure...

Depends on your setup, but most Hondas use 2" at least from the turbo to IC.

ideally it's 2.5 to 3" for the intake to compressor inlet, 2" from turbo to IC and 2.25" from IC to TB

I run 2 inches off the compressor, then flares to 2.5 inches to the IC and 2.5 inches out of the IC to the intake. I had know a guy locally that ran 2.5 inches in and 3 inches out. He was making decent power with the setup, 277 whp at 7 psi on a basicly stock GSR.
