3 inch exhaust.
looking for a decent 3 inch exhaust. Something that's not gonna be stupid loud or anything. Any suggestions. I'm trying to keep it under 500.00 bucks.

Kteller, 18 inch resonator, 5X8 magnaflow FTW
Most people think my exhaust is stock.
Looks just like the black hatch pictured above.

not to jack the thread, but do people normally have the stock tab welded for support like this pic? I'm wondering if i should have mine done like that. Otherwise it doesnt seem like there is very much bracing until you get to the first set of hangers.

The shop that did my exhaust welded the brace back on there. He said the stock tab is there for a reason and I should put the brace back on. He welded it back on I guess an extra brace can do no harm, right?

You should tell the shop that flanges are there for a reason too, so you have a way to remove that (now) 1 piece exhaust system.
Oh, and that shop needs to learn how to weld.

well most all exhaust shops use the mig welders and try and get it done as fast as possible..But just cause those welds are ugly doesnt mean they're not strong so who cares? no ones going to see under there anyway..and even if they do who gives a **** its an exhaust,

Do you see the prblem at all there. the flex pipe won't be doing anything since you have just braced it BEFORE the pipe. Take that off before something cracks. Stock exhausts have the o-ring to be flexing after the header

Yeah I thought about the flange after the exhaust was done. I will have a flange welded soon. I also wanna get an exhaust cut out so when I install that, I'll have them weld a flange. As for the welds...they're holding up and seem to be strong. No one is goin under the car to check out the ugly welds.

Nothing has cracked yet (Knock on wood) and I've been driving the car for 6 months already.
