Default 2000 h22 prelude

putting a turbo in my friend 2000 h22 prelude.. he has a log manifold and a t3/t4 turbo that were having fitment issues with.. just wondering has anyone had to remove a fan or anything else to use a log manifold and t3/t4 turbo? dont have any pics yet but the turbo is hitting the passenger side radiator fan is this normal? have people used this setup without removing fans? any input would help.. thanks!

yeah common problem, purchase a pusher slim fan and mount it on the other side of the radiator, this will give you the space needed

ok cool.. i think ive seen people run just a half radiator and fan like a civic one or something on a prelude.. but can i just remove the one fan and leave it off? or will the car overheat?

there are two fans on the stock radiator .. the fan closer to the passenger side is strictly for pulling air from the outside through the radiator to cool the antifreeze .. the fan closer to the driver side is for the A/C system and its condensor, you can go ahead and remove this fan and you won't see any difference in cooling performance of your radiator.

in which case the half-sized radiator still won't help your situation .. the only other option is to trim the plastic shroud on the fan enough so that the turbo fits .. or buy a pusher slim fan and mount on the other side of the radiator, and ofcourse remove the current fan
