Default 2-Step & RevLimit Settings

Ok, so im thinking of buying a chipped phearable ecu and i need to set my RevLimit an 2 Step. I just need a better understanding of each, Im running low boost on a stock ls, nothing major, (200-220hp).. What exactly is each?? i kno it stops you from reving after a set rpm and i seen the videos on youtube of how it sounds lol so roughly what should my revlimit n 2 step be set to?

2-step will most likely be set off of mph. For example under 5mph the computer will not let the motor rev past 5k rpm, even at full throttle. Rev limit is the actual maximum rpm the computer will let the motor rev to. These numbers are JUST AN EXAMPLE!

Is there any thing done to the motor at all? Valve springs, retainers, rod bolts anything other then the turbo? We need to know what you have done to be able to give you numbers

as said above, a 2-step is going to be different for everyone and depends what you have done. how quick or slow your turbo spools, etc.
generally you would set it somewhere around 5k and see how your launches go from there. adjust accordingly

Op said it was stock LS with a turbo and that was it. I would keep the rev limit low 7000-7200rpms on the stock LS valve springs and cams, you wont make much power on low boost past that anyways.
The 2 step is all on how you want to launch the car and the cars ability to get traction. I would start the 2 step at around 3000-4000 rpms and see how it works, you can play with it to dial it in.

Sounds like your driving around untuned . First thing I would do is get a tune they will set a rev limiter and two step for you

Exactly , it's completely none stock down to the rod bolts, and no to phaphon, my teg is sittn in my dads shop waiting for the computer.. But I'm getting a phearable ecu, I won't have nothing to re-tune or adjust, I'd have to return to phearable I'm guessing or buy some type of tuning tool like ostrich or if any.. and this ecu is only temporary do I don't want to get to used to it.. Thanks for answering my Q's! I really appreciate it and now get a better understanding.
