doesnt seem like you did a lot of research to me...

msd does ignition cutoff
crome/uberdata/hondata does fuel cutoff

2step usually means you can set 2 rpm limits
3step = 3 rpm limits.

if you look at the picture, you'll see module 1, module 2, module 3.
you can see 3 different rpms for 3 different functions.

the 2step only has 2 modules.

here's some info i found for the 3step on a vendor's website.
http://www.martelbrothers.com/....html

and the same for 2step...

and you have obviously NEVER used any of these MSD products, because even tho they have RPM pills in BOTH of those spots, if you had one you would know that the box will plug into one of those spots, which ever one you choose.

a 2 step has ONE added function, because the box plugs into one spot and the ADDED function is a positive triggered function, such as burnout, launch etc. BUT thfe box that plugs into one of those spots will have the other pill inserted into it should you choose to use one, that being said a 2 step adds ONE feature and a 3 step ADDs 2 features

do you have to use the MSD ignition with their 2 step or 3 step?

I have the old hondata and no one has the old software to set my 2 step with.
