No need for aftermarket ignition in an NA setup.

If U do any kind of ignition mod, keep it all stock & just use an external coil. I really think high priced ignition systems would only make a good difference in your running a heavily boosted or massively modded N/A high compression set up. Wanna by my MSD? I'm selling it! HAHA!!!

I differ from you haters ... I have an MSD-SCI with the external coil on my R and I like it. The car revs smoother, starts faster and burns the plugs cleaner .. I am not going to tell you I got 15HP out of it because I know I didn't, but I will tell you that the car feels like there's a lot more torque on the whole powerband... My ***-dyno opinion: you probably won't see a lot of HP gains but the investment is worthwhile and you'll feel more torque on our engines which happen to run very low on the torque factor...

as an experiment i'm running a 6A w/external coil on mine. so far, i can't tell any major difference. it might be a bit smoother under 3k; but i'm rarely below 3k on the tach anyway so i'm not sure if that's a halucination or what. i was hoping to get better gas milage, so far it doesn't seem to do squat (only been on the R 450km). but hey, the msd was free so whynot

2 friends of mine (1 95' camaro, 1 92' hatch) both fried their ECU's because of MSD's ignitions

nology hooked me up with an ignition setup on my GSR a few weeks ago.

Plugs, wires, external coil, ignition module.

Nothing like crazy extra power, but in general the car does feel a bit smoother.. (again, no hard data/numbers to prove this...just my experience.)

Seems to take twice as long for the engine to die if the fuel cutoff is turned on while the car is running as well.... (burning more efficiently perhaps and using all of the remaining fuel?)

I'm N/A so I can't make any outrageous claims, it was free so I'm not trying to justify a costly purchase either, but I do have to say the car feels a little smoother/more responsive. Perhaps I'll notice it more when I go FI.
