2 questions: Ring Wash Symptoms? and VAFC with FMU and Check valves.
My car is running WAY cooler since I put my 450 injectors in with a vafc. (not turboed yet). I'm assuming its running pretty richer.
VAFC Settings -30@1000rpm (it just idled better at -30), -40 all the way to 5000 rpm, -39, -38, -37 etc to 8000 rpm (pg7 ecu, d16z6 head, a6 block, 9:1 je pistons).
1st question: Is there any symptoms of ring wash to look out for? Just curious.
2nd question: I called AEBS and asked them once I'm turboed I want to bring it in to be dynoed. I told them I'm just running a VAFC with 450s and I'm only gonna run 10 psi. They told me to get a FMU (I got one sitting around) and a missing link before I bring it in. It will make it more tunable.
What would be there reasoning behind this? They said they've heard of people doing the AFC thing, but still want to go with the FMU/Check valve on top of the VAFC hack. AEBS is pretty reputable aren't they?
