Default 2.5 downpipe capable of???

well im puttin my turbo stuff on my ef...and found out i can fit a 3inch dp..but i can fit a 2.5inch dp...and my goal was 300whp on a lsvtec,forged pistons/rods, log manifold,t3/to4b...and now a 2.5inch dp....think it will happin with a good tune???any edvice welcome

2.5" should easy for 300whp. mine hit 370whp with no problem..

i had a customer do 440whp @20psi with a 60 trim and 2.5" exhaust & downpipe.spooled really fast too

ive witnessed an srt4 with a t3 gt35r make 600+ on a 2.5in downpipe

Wow this and others interesting results....but I wonder if they would pick up much faster spool with a bigger dp/exhaust.

I made 463 on a 2.5 inch downpipe, log manifold, 60 trim, on pump gas.

So yes, you will be able to hit 300 WHP

i'm making 275whp on mine on stock....i think too many people jump on the 3" bandwagon...2.5" will work fine too

You can make a million theoretical hp on a .05" DP. Its just a matter of efficiency. The bigger the DP, the more efficient. Its just that simple.

We had a customer come to tune with a D15B7, hf manifold a 50 trim T3, and a 2.5" DP. He made 141 on our MUSTANG dyno on 7 lbs. We fabbed up a 3" DP for his car a month later, put it back on the dyno and with in 3 pulls the car made 176 on the same boost... It now blows the tires off in 2nd This is with a D15b7 so think of what you guys with the bigger engines will gain...
