Default 2.1L NA vs stock 1.8L boost

I have a delimma and I cant choose. I have an RS machine sleeved block that I was going to build (eagle rods, high comp pistons, pro2 etc), but I will have to bore it out to 86mm because of the scarred sleeves from the previous owner.

My tuner offered me a trade for a stock GSR block and a turbo kit(garrett 57trim, cast mani, 3im DP, injectors, tune, etc.)

Now I was wondering what YOU would choose in this situation. Im leaning towards the turbo route because I will get my car up and running right away because I still have to purchase pistons for the 86mm. And also this will be in my DD, so idk how realiable the 86mm will be daily.

Opinions, suggestions, comments please

if his trading u a gsr block with a turbo kit for a bare sleeve block go for it....turbo is more fun than allmotor...but your gonna want more later so u can take your time and run the stock block on boost under 300whp and it should last for a while...i would do it in a heartbeat...

Yep, you will want to go faster one day so I would say Boost all the way! I had a high revving b16 for many years, cams, etc... Ran really well and it was a blast, but it can't compare to my built Ls/Vtec Turbo with more than double the whp at only 7psi!

I'll actually be trading an almost complete bottom end for it. Balanced crank, eagle rods, wp, op, everything but pistons.

What were/are your goals for the NA build? I'm not very good at guessing power numbers for those kinds of setups. As for the stock internal turbo GSR, you could safely make 325-340whp on Premium fuel. To me, turbo Hondas more fun than NA Hondas anyway

...If you want even more fun, just buy my car

Realistic goal is to go 12.6 or faster in a full interior, daily driven, pump gas dc2 Integra. Pretty achievable with alot of seat time. I have two buddies that have gone 10s in that trim......but on boost and I hear it all the time from them "go boost or go home"..

Even with that said, afterwards my basic b20vtec with RS machines still gave alot of boosted cars a run for their money.

Anyways, I need a running car soon, so I may be boosting soon like my FIRST original plan was

And your car runs e85...Not too many places in cencal that carries it.
