1Fab Order
You are right, I should and I have done what you suggest & email & phone calls, but I still dont have my parts.
I placed my order Aug. 4, 2005. Do you understand? going on 5 Mo. I did get an appology from him and an assurance that I would get my parts this week. But the problem is he is unable to suppy me with a tracking number!!!
I just hate to be jerked around with! I'd like an answer!!

I swear I've seen at least 10 of these threads....Yes custom parts take time, but if you can't get them out in a timely manner and then you start jerking the customer around that's bullshit.

Same thing here guys still waiting for my order. Though I haven't been waiting as long as you others have(beginning of November), I was promised the manifold in 3 weeks, after 3 times being told the manifold had been shipped out I am done with being jerked around. I don't have problems with waiting if I am being told the truth.
I know fabricating something like a manifold takes time but don't make promises if you can't deliver.

not directing this specifically to OneFab but just my opinion in general. you know... i've noticed you see a lot of threads like this from time to time. my only explanation is that a company will offer a product(s) and while they become popular, they also get swamped with sales. they reach a point where it becomes harder to manage the mass amount of orders and some might even just not be able to physically fulfill orders fast enough (as in the case of manufactured products such as manifolds). And most companies I've seen aren't going to turn down a sale. Just my $0.02

How come you can get a hold of Matt so quick and regular customers cant?
My friend has been waiting for his manifold for a few months too, and it's a mission getting a hold of matt (email, pm, or phone). Once we get a hold of him, his reply is always the same, either excuses, or he'll say "I have your parts here, I'll give you the tracking number when it's shipped" It's been like 2 months since the first time he said that, and still no manifold or parts. We were also supposed to get a refund from him for a turbo that was on back order, and misteriously about a month after he said he sent the money back it still hadnt shown up in my friends account...
It's just funny how everything seems to go wrong but it's always to the customer's disadvantage.
Just kinda ranting out on this ****.

RLD made me a AC compatable mani, DP and dump and I had it within 2 weeks and that was the first one he ever made. come on this is just plain and simple bad service.

Now have RLD build 20 of those, answer phone calls, emails, walk-in customers, oder and pick up materials, and eventually make a last minute run to ship everything off.. Oh and make sure its one person doing everything with only one part time helper.
Im not trying to make excuses for Matt, But in the last couple of months he has gone from being 30 manifolds behind to being around 10 behind. He is by no means dragging his feet. You will get your parts, he is not going to run with your money. When you get the parts you will like them.
Ive been waiting for several months to be able to build a manifold for the car I am building for me to play with. Hopefully in the next month or so we will get to build one for me. Then again Ive been waiting even longer for my turbo from Precision.

Im sorry I was not able to reply in a timely manner with a tracking number, Ive been up till 3-4 am every day this week working.
The only thing on my mind when I return home is my bed.
I have always responded to every single of your Pm's, Emails and as much of the Phone calls as soon as possible, You have to realize I dont get Pm's or emails unless im sitting at my computer. I always try to respond as I get them.
You recieved your parts this week as promised.

I dont even know who you are or what ties you have to any of my customers but Id appreciate if you mind your own business as you cleary dont know the situation.
You didnt order from me, bottom line. Its one thing to give your opinion on a sitatuion but to sit here and claim these facts is bullshit.

Every is always quick to jump on the bandwagon with anything on this site.
I have been in complete contact with every single one of the customers who have posted in this thread and you all know exactly where Your orders Stand. One person freaks out because im out of the shop for a day driving across the state to pick up another customers car and all hell breaks loose.
If someone posted up a picture of any manifold on this site, everyones always quick to say what nice piece it it, etc.. same with this ****. One person says something and they all jump on the train.
Ive busted my *** trying to catch up and keep in touch with all my customers.
The last week Im down to the last bit of orders and everyone needs them right now,
Im trying to please everyone and get everyones Parts all at once it seems, especially this week as ive just about got everything out thats behind. I completly put myself into a corner trying to do this, this week
I know everyone is frantically trying to get their cars together and I will do whatever it takes to Offset any of the hassles. I End up getting taken advantage of because this person has to have their parts right now and Customers think their parts have more priority over every other customers. I do whatever I can to Make everyone pleased in the end and end up getting overly frustrated at the situation.
Im not here to take anyones money whatsoever, no one has never ever not recieved their parts from me. Given I am slow I take pride in what I do and am always trying to come up with better ways to produce My manifolds and Better what I do.
Im not going anywhere, Every other thread going on is about manifold makers taking peoples money. I AM NOT TAKING ANYONES MONEY, now will I ever.
Im here to stay and prove that im not going anywhere. If i have to endure these hardships, thats fine Im still not going to run off with anyones money or give up on what I do. I know I can put it together and make this work.
Obviously I've lost plenty of business because of these situations, threads, and complants, but Im still not going anywhere. Im here to do whatever it takes to Make this all work for each and everyone of my customers.
Agian I Sincerely appologize for the waits of any of the parts and the hassles of having your cars down for more than intended. If i was able too, I would ship all your manifolds out and return every bit of money at the same time.
I dont know what else to say about it, Im just as frustrated at the situation as all of you are. Sorry if my post is a little scattered.
I appreciate the ones who have continued to support me.
Matt
There is nothing wrong with a 5 month wait time on a product if the customer is aware it may take that long. Maybe if you would inform all the new customers there is a 6 month wait time on their manifold they will be a little more understanding and you'll have less stress. Plus if you have it done a month early they will be happy customers then.

I think it is my business because I hate to see one of my friends get screwed over like this. I was there when he ordered the manifold, and I have been there for pretty much every message, conversation, and e-mail he has sent you. Hell, I've even written a bunch of those e-mails to you, so dont tell me I dont know anything about the situation.
You always tell him he has been a pain in the *** since day one, but it seems like you're the one who is doing a shitty job taking care of your customers because these threads are popping up pretty often.
Order or events:
- Ordered Manifold in mid October (Matt said it would take 3-4 weeks, but he would try to ship it before the sema show, or right after)
- Called before sema, had a hard time getting a hold of matt, when he actually picked up the phone he said he wasnt going to be able to ship it till after the show.
- Called after the show, sent several e-mails, finally got a hold of him, said everything was done but the turbo was on back order, he said it would take about two weeks to get the turbo from precision.
- Called two weeks later, once again had a hard time getting a hold of matt, he said the turbo was still on back order and he didnt know when it was going to be in stock. Asked to get rest of the parts and for him to ship the turbo after. He said the parts would be shipped friday or monday of the following week.
- Monday of that week, we called to get a tracking number and couldnt get a hold of matt. We didnt get a hold of him for that whole week and when we finally did, he said that he would ship it the friday after thanksgiving or the monday after.
- Once again we waited and couldnt get a hold of him when we tried to get the tracking number.
- Made a thread on here about the whole deal (the week after thanks giving) and we agreed that he would refund me for the turbo and that he would ship the parts in the next few days.
Seems like a few days means more than a month to matt. It's already mid January and this parts havent been shipped yet. Also, as of wednesday of thsi week, the refund for the turbo still hasnt showed up in my friend's bank account, and he supposedly sent the refund around early december.
Does any of that sound familiar matt? Dont tell me I dont know the facts, I've been there for all of it.
Also, we called precision, and they said it would only take a maximum of 10 days to get that turbo you said has been on back order for the past 3.5 months.

Right on! There is nothing wrong with waiting for a good product as long as the customer knows how long is going to take. Someone might actually NEED their manifold in four weeks, so when you tell them you'll make it in that amount of time, and then it ends up taking 6x as long people get pissed off, and you get a shitty reputation.
