18G and a T3/T4.....big difference?
I don't know how many people might know this, but I'm considering upgrading my turbo, etc, so I can put a T3/T4 turbo on my '00 Si. I currently have a Greddy 18G kit on my car. Would I really notice that big of a difference?
I raced my friend who has a T3/T4 turbo on his SER and I had him by almost a car from 40-100 but his bigger turbo just took over at the top end. I don't know if my car would do the same or what.
So in your personal opinion, would it be worth it to do the upgrade, or just save my money?

If u are building an all out strip car, go bigger than the 18g.....However I have had extremely good luck with my 18g/stock ls setup....See sig for more details...

I ran a t3 (.42 /.48) on my b16 for a while. i had it from my sohc turbo. It was fine or so I thought. Once I swapped the t3 out for my t3t40E it was a night and day difference. The car pulled so much harder at the same boost level.
So what all would I need to change?
The obvious of course, the turbo, manifold, I'll need a new external wastegate, and downpipe.......is that it? Will the intercooler piping match up? And will the intake pipe still match up to the intake side of the turbo?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Chris

Cool thanks.
Anyone have an opinion about if I should get a drag manifold or get something else? And what about the kind of turbo? I already know I want a tial w/g and I'll have a downpipe made.

Look into a lovefab manifold, or a south florda performance I hear that they are both good manifolds. I have a drag and it works ok for mild boost (up to about 10psi) I wish I had a better manifold though.
