Default :: 12:1 + jrsc ::

just wondering what everyone thinks of a mildly built all-motor setup adding a jrsc. i have a friend whose got a gsr with ctr cams and he is considering going with a stock boosted jrsc. i told him that is should make descent power with the added compression. anyone else have any thougths? thanks in advance.

I like the idea of putting a JRSC on an engine with slightly higher compression.. should yeild good power gains with little boost. But I don't think I would go as high as 12:1. I'd probably do 11:1 with a well tuned Hondata setup.

I just built mine and running 11:1 compression + 11 psi and hondata and I am not happy (208 whp-148.2 lbft.) I just got an msd and I'm going to lower my boost, I gotta figure out a new combo. Also I think type -r cams have a little too much duration for boost, I'm going with GSR cams.

with the proper cams and low boost high compression is a very good idea for the JRSC to keep the charge temps low stick with the 6psi factory pulleys!!!

12:1 is kinda high, but you should see more power than what you are seeing I would think. Who did your tuning? I'm at 10.6:1 and have no issues. Give us the complete rundown of your setup.
