12:1 & fuel injector failure???
I've been running the GReddy kit for about a year now, and kept it on pretty conservative boost for 99.5% of the time (6.5psi or so). Recently, the motor's been acting up--under partial throttle under low boost (<5psi), the motor sometimes stutters (bogs), then goes back to normal. It's been happening more and more. What do you think the culprit is? My guess was that the high fuel pressures finally took its toll on the fuel injectors and they're starting to go out. I've also noticed fuel mileage has dropped from 29-30mpg to around 26-27mpg, all else being equal. It's gotta be something w/ the fuel system, right? Any input??

I don't know if it's got anything to do with your injectors per-se, but I do have a set of mine laying around (Stock 98 EX injectors) and some 4G Prelude VTEC 310cc injectors if you need.

Re: 12:1 & fuel injector failure??? (Giuseppe)
are thoe 4g prelude injectors peak hold or saturated? Will they work on my 95 gsr? I have always wondered this but never had the time to ask. Thanks.

Re: 12:1 & fuel injector failure??? (VTC_CiViC)
Stock EX injectors Xmas gift for me?
I haven't an idea if it's the injectors that are causing the issue, or the 12:1 vortech unit that's the culprit. Is there anyway I can tell if the diaphragm is not functioning properly if I just take it apart?

Heheh... no worries, it's NOT stock. It's the BBK 255lph in-tank.
BTW, VTC_civic... I got your message... I'll let you know in a couple of weeks when I'm off for Xmas. Thanks!

I had an injector stick one time(370cc).. the car was hardly drivabe, and one of the sparkplugs would turn pitch black after I replaced it and just let the car idle for a minute, the others were just fine.. check your plugs out ad they will tell you if you have and injector problem... hth..

are you using the the black box that comes with the kit ?
if so check your wire connection and also try tapping onto the box to see if the car stumble. if this happens you have an intenal problem with the black box. this can affect the map sensor. i suggest to remove the black box and just run check valves or the missing link.

Re: 12:1 & fuel injector failure??? (Turboholic)
the prelude injectors are peak and hold
if you want to use these types of injectors you will need to run the injector resistor box. otherwise using the peak hold injector on a saturated system can lead to a severe engine damage

Yup, using black box. What voltages am I checking for?? I'm presuming it's in my Honda SRM?
The fuel hiccups occur between -60mm/Hg of vacuum to about 2psi.
... I can't wait until an OBD-II standalone becomes available on the market... I'm starting to dislike this whole FMU/fuel pressure stuff...
