114 miles on 1 tank of gas...
Ya, the first 100 miles were on the SMC. We couldnt figure out how to make it run right, bogged all the time, CEL #43. So we get this Uberchip in the mail, and it has a piece of paper taped to it, saying "P72." The car is a 93 Del Sol SOHC Vtec w/p28.
SO after two minutes installation(p28 was already chipped by JET), we take the car for a spin. It doesnt start. WAY too rich. I consult UberTeg, he said to floor it when starting.
It works, HUGE plumes of smoke. Then CEL, then it goes to stock idle and smoke stops. The funny thing is, knock was dissabled, so I thought CEL was turned off. Oh well.
I drove the car to work, which is 7 miles one way. I had just below a half tank of gas when I left. Car felt very stock feeling while under boost. Im used to the FMU transition...all or nothing. Bogs after every shift, but Im assuming its because of the ultra-rich map.
I get to work, and notice that I only had 1/8 tank. WTF? I leave work a few hours later, drive 3 miles to the nearest gas station, and the car is on E.
So ya, just thought Id share my little story of the shortest lived full-tank Ive ever experienced.
ps...UberTeg 2nd-dayed another chip, should be here tomorrow. Plus, we are hooking up a VAFC to tweak some things if we need to
Does anybody know why we keep getting a code 43???

i'm 99% sure code 43 is due to running rich (o2 sensor) i just remember my friend throwing that code on his ls swappen hatch. good luck with the setup, my car use to drink gas also...until i got my hondata tuned right. gas milege is pretty close to stock when i'm not boosting and thats with 750's.

I personally very much appreciate the cat...
I run a full open 3" exhaust on my car, and I love that too.

ya theres no cat. 2.5 all the way back. i thought it was from being way to rich.
the funny thing is, with the smc, we couldnt ge it to go away no matter what we did...
