Default 10psi on 310cc injectors

like it says. i am about to have my car tuned on Uberdata its a 99 SI(b16a2) and was wondering if anyone has had problems with maxing out the injectors supplied on the kit (18G turbo). i know 450's would be a nice upgrade but for the time being has anyone used the 310's at 10psi and had problems with the 310's at or around 10psi. some calculations have been done but looking for some examples please

thanks

310's are deffinatly better than the stock injectors but still might be a little to small.....

why not look for some DSM injectors(450cc?).......they can be had cheap apperently......

you will load them out. Duty cycle at 10 psi on MY 99 si on 330's was 89%. They failed often. Felt like it fell on its face. I upgraded to RC-550's and havent had any more problems. I am running 15 lbs comfortably on 550's and they are at 70% duty cycle

I'd be looking more at whp than just psi. Common ranges are around 250whp for 450's, and definately not over 200whp for 310's.

No I can't give you good examples, but I do know that with stock cam duration, you're going to be spraying on nearly closed valves for a good part of the duty cycle using 310's. I'd rather not have to use the veturi effect to atomize my injector's puddles

yeah i understand that whp is what you are looking for. i was hoping that 10psi would keep me pretty safe for the daily driver and such but also provide me with around 210-225hp.

anyways i'll let everyone know after i get my car tuned on thursday.

anyone else have any actual expierence???

that doesn't mean anything. Your mx3 could be making way less power than his car will be making on 10psi. I would recommend at the very least getting some 440's.

yeah this seems to be the concensus. i am still going to get the car tuned, probibly to like 8psi-ish, so we'll see. was also wondering if a fpr would make any difference in tuning along with helping the duty cycle out, or is that just jibberish

I completely understand that, i was just stating my experience with 310 cc injectors. But how does psi differ from turbo to turbo, its all measured at the intake manifold.
