Default 10 lb. JRSC Dyno

According to jacksonracing.com a GSR with a 6 lb pulley on their SC will add another 58 WHP. Does anyone know how much WHP a 10 lb on a JRSC will yield on a GSR? Thanks

On a bone stock GSR at 6 psi you should make around 210WHP . On 10 psi you should be around 220-225WHP , You should look into a Kamakazi header, intake and an exhaust, from there cam gear and ecu tuning you should be in the 245-250WHP area. Good Luck !

On a strong GSR you should be able to make anywhere from 250-260ish at 10psi. At 6psi I made 227. I havent' dynoed at 10psi yet, but with my hondata and more boost I feel pretty comfortable that I am at about 260. I am putting on a new head with PnP and new valves, etc. and I'm hoping for 270ish. It is very possible to make good power witha JRSC. You don't need as much power as a turbo car to make a supercharged car fast. However your boost is limited so.

the higher you turn up the boost, the less power you will make per psi with a supercharger. Expect around 240whp with 10psi and I/H/E cam gears

SUPERTEG95 I have a 96 GSR with a fully built NA setup i am having problems makeing the vtec make power( I made 160 whp and 120trq = ) if i switch out the cams I should be able to run the JRSC. What type of Cams and pistons do you run and have you had any problems with the jrsc, like keeping the temp down. I appreciate any feedback. I also have a hondata 2 i would have to switch it to a hondata 3b or should i use the AEM computer?

haha a whole 220 wheel horsepower!! no wonder those JRSC kits are selling like hotcakes..

seriously though, people punching out their b18cs and what not 84mm, ls cranks, putting down close to that NA....

that's pretty sad... but there is a way around this.. a turbocharger!!
tried and proven.

FFGaeson , This is not a "Supercharger V Turbo" , I'm sure input is appreciated !...
I have a supercharger on my LS Vtec , I am running 6.5 psi and I make 267WHP and 198TQ , I make 180+ TQ at 3000 rpms , No lag, no waiting, No dumping 600 deg oil back in my oil pan.
I am running an experimental intercooler , I am working on a larger intercooler so I can run the boost way up, I will keep you posted when it is done.
Supercharger's don't make as much "Peak" HP as turbo's put who cares about 2000 rpm power band.

Ugh, lets not start this....neither argument is right so why bother?

You should hit at least 230whp with 10PSI...it all depends on tuning, mods, etc. 240 is probably a good rough estimate for most average setups.

Yeah, it really depends on your setup. Superchargers for hondas like high compression because your running low boost and together they can make good power. Right now I am running stock bottom end(103k) and stock cams. If I decide to keep my charger when I rebuild I will probably do a LS crank and a little higher compression(10:5:1 or so) and possibly Rocket's turbo cams. It's all about test and tune. If you run higher compression you can't take tuning for granted or else your gonna melt something. Like it was said earlier, Superchargers don't put out huge HP #'s, but fortunately they don't have to. They make really good power down low.

See my sig. 240-250 whp is a realistic expectation.

This was at 7 psi and not heat soaked. I have another graph that is not scanned yet that is at 10 psi and heat soaked making 231hp and 161tq.

The 3 plots shown are:
bottom plot is at 7psi with all JR electronics
middle plot is at 7psi with only untuned hondata and 440cc injectors
top plot is of the tuned Hondata at 7psi.

I will try to post the 10 psi later.
