Hey guys.. New to the game I just got this civic done so I don't know the exacts here and there.

I noticed on the intake manifold it looks like it has a small crack. And if you go from 3rd to neutral the car will stall. Shop says possibly air/fuel ratio but i'm waiting on them to get a greddy support tool to be able to connect to me.


Any insight or any info at all is much appreciated.

thats your exhaust mani that has a crack but that wont cause your car to stall like that but we need more info about your setup and whats been checked and most importantly when the issue started Before or after putting in the turbo kit.

Thanks for the reply man. I'll be honest I do not know everything that has been done.

It has I believe the t3 turbo pieced together kit running around 5lbs of boost. If you go from first to neutral the car acts fine. But if you go from like 2nd or 3rd to neutral without downshifting the rpm's just drop within a second or two and stall the car out.

The engine codes show misfires but not sure if it's air/fuel or what. Just don't really want to pay for a tune until I get the other problems fixed =X

Anything else I can add plz let me know I really appreciate the help

I have only had the car with the turbo in it so i'd imagine this happened with the turbo in it. The car sat for like 6 months b/c the person couldn't come back into the country so his parents sold it

You might have your hands full not having alot of knowledge in the area and not knowing about whats been done. You mos def need the cracks welded up. After that your best bet would be to try to get info about your setup from the previous owner.

chances are its not tuned.. you need to do alot of reading and be able to tell what you have going there. Its not like buying a eclipse or something that came that way from the factory.

I personally wouldnt even drive it until you know if its tuned, you will seriously blow it up.

Yea i'm trying to get an appointment at a local place but they all seem ultra booked. One local shop said it was tuned but air/fuel was most likely wrong but he couldn't connect to my greddy blue box.

I would certainly think tune off the bat, but it could be other things, timing belt skipped a tooth, injector might be clogged, or the injector seals, dizzy might be messed up, cap/ rotor /wires, check out what plugs are in there, make sure they are ngk copper 7's.

Its going to be alot of work to back track what has been done to the car, and fix stuff that is most likely done wrong, for 1 I dont see a catch-can setup, just a breather filter, so its possible the factory pcv system might still be hooked up. There tons of info on this site, do pleanty of reading and learning
