Re: **OFFICIAL FORCED INDUCTION RANDOM CHAT THREAD**
it came with lowering springs (sprint I think, they're yellow and PO didn't know the brand) but it's just low enough to eliminate wheel gap while still fairly stiff. first plan of attack is full suspension (Dominant Engineering complete arm kit, bc or ksport external reservoir coilovers, Steeda 26mm rear swaybar. H&R 24mm front swaybar), wilwood 13" front and 11.8" rear brakes, and wider wheels (going to 17x9 from 17x7) with decent rubber.
Then align it and corner weight it. after that I'll work on the power department... start off with a ported, built head. CAT cams, arp headstuds, bunch of C-F-M parts, light weight flywheel and stronger clutch, then work on forced induction...
probably going to be the following
top speed v-band street manifold
TiAL MVR
EFR7163
3" downpipe and exhaust
convert to a return fuel system
Bosch 044 pump
Bosch 60lb ev injectors
Vertical flow front mount
2.5" charge piping with one of my many BOVs
not sure what to do about the MAF, probably use a cobra replacement I have
Innovative digital wideband
Aquamist methanol injection
tuning with STCs Pro Racer software (turns the stock ecu into a standalone like HPTuners)
although I probably won't start with the forced induction stuff until the civic is done or at least close to done. I may consider building a motor, the 2.0 zetec motor is fairly robust from the factory and since I'm initially aiming for 350hp I doubt I'll need a built motor unless something breaks... hell all the guys on the focus forums act like anything over 9:1 compression is too high for forced induction, I can't wait to rain on their parade lol... especially when I link them to builds like Muckmans and Shawty22s lol.
as far as the sti, I think my dad is only keeping it until his C7 Z06 is built and delivered. at least that's what he keeps saying. I'll let you know if he decides to sell it lol

Quick photo of the new daily/money pit/road course/mountain run/togue fighter.
only has 79,000 miles, 3 owners (including me), and is virgin other than lowering springs, so I know I'm not starting with some clusterfuck of a car when the modifications start.
talk all the smack you want about the car but it's so much fun to drive ^_^

This is my 2nd Subie so i've already adapted to it, but honestly, it doesn't handle as badly as I had expected. This is my "get through winter commute" car and I think for that purpose, it will work great. After this winter and once the wife's Civic lease is up, this is slated to be her new car... i have to keep telling myself its only temporary

If your speedo is going crazy its prolly a wiring problem.

Speedo not going crazy, its just dropping to 0mph even though im rolling,
Car just shuts down if it gets any load.
Im going to throw the oem oxygen sensor back on when i get home from work

Doesn't even have to be a dyno, just rollers...but yeah.
Was the first an H6 as well? The H4's aren't too bad...they're about the same as any other FWD car. The H6 is just so obnoxiously heavy, it throws the whole front in forward.

Re: **OFFICIAL FORCED INDUCTION RANDOM CHAT THREAD**
No, the first was an EJ257 (turbo H4) which you're right, is markedly lighter than the H6 I have now. I must admit, for a 4300lb 'car' it handles better than I would have expected. Subarus in general tend to understeer from my experience, but I have yet to push this new one to the limit...i'm kind of afraid it'll end up on its roof. The 12" of ground clearance tends to mess with the center of gravity

Re: **OFFICIAL FORCED INDUCTION RANDOM CHAT THREAD**
I can tell you from experience (05 L.L. Bean Outback H6), it won't end up on it's roof, but it will end up going straight through the intersection, rather than turning left It's just all the extra weight from two more flat cylinders and everything that comes with them. The whole front end of that car exists only to fight against you when you tell it to turn.
