??? *** Why does B16a1 have 2 O2 Sensors? *** ???
I have a b16a1 in a 89 Civic hatch and it has 2 O2 sensors, or it came that way when i got it back For the Shop after the install, Is both o2 sensors needed?
and what do both of them do?
Also I just installed a Max Rev turbo kit and im only runing one of them today
and it runs fine untill i get to 9lbs of boost then i get a code 3 check engine code
i know that this code is for the map sensor how do i cure this problem?
and what do both of them do?

Mine only has one. Are you sure it a B16a1? I thought only the a2's were obdII. I don't know but I would like to know if I'm right so I ask the same.

Yes both o2s are needed. I used to have a crx with a 1st gen jdm b16a in it and in the stock exhaust manifold it had two o2 sensors. One was where the primaries for cylinders 1 and 4 meet and the second is where the primaries for cylinders 2 and 3 meet. The o2s control the fuel/air mixture for the cylinder pairs. You need both or the ecu will through a check engine light. Where are the o2s placed on your turbo manifold? If you only run one o2 and splice both signal wires into it then one cylinder pair will either run rich or lean, and that's not good. Or if they are in the wrong locations, (from what i have read and heard) your fuel/air mixtures will be off in your cylinder pairs.
I think your map sensor is throughing a code at 10lbs of boost because it is begining to sense boost at that pressure. What do you have right now limiting the map sensor voltage signal to the ecu? Im sorry im not familiar on what the max rev kit has. Are you running check valvles. You might need one of those GM 3 bar map sensors if you are going to boost that high or add more check valves .
Hope this helps at all.
