****Cam choice and gearbox choice****
im currently at the end of my turbo build and need a bit of advice, im stuck as to what cams will work the best with my setup, the current spec is
b18c4 with integra head
edelbrock victor x inlet
Garrett GT35r 1.06 hot side
darton liners
spooling performance top mount
tial 38mm wg
cp pistons 8:5:1
eagle rods
hondata s300 with boost by gear
omni power 70mm throttle body
ID 1000cc injectors
walbro 255 with bosch 004 inline
my engine builder has got in touch with brian crower who will make me a set of custom turbo cams, springs and retainers, and valves for $1200 delivered to the u.k. i havent heard many things about brian crower, are they any good for my needs?im aiming to make over 500 at the crank. what's the best cams out there for a full on turbo build as im not sure i want to go down the brian crower route.
Next is the gearbox, what is the best gearbox, obviously it cant have stupidly long gears as the turbo is big and would be far too laggy (this is what im guessing, correct me if im wrong) i can pick up an EK9 gearbox with 1,2,3 EK9 and 4,5th out of the integra, will this be any good or will i just be spinning 1,2 and 3'rd then lagging into fourth, remember i am using a 1.06 exhaust housing on a garrett GT35r so will be very lagy, any help on this matter would be great.

Re: ****Cam choice and gearbox choice****
crower is well known here across the pond.
theres some charts covering all the transmissions and their gears out on the net, but if youre expecting 500 hp your first couple gears are going to be useless no matter what box you go with.
is a b18c4 a uk spec type r?

Re: ****Cam choice and gearbox choice****
Stock cams are better than crower cams period. Just go with a set of type r either itr or ctr cams for oem reliability and will make very nice power. Yes you can go with a wild cam and make a little more power through the powerband BUT nothign beats oem reliability and driveability. I would recomend maybe some skunk2 tuner1's or tuner 2's. Im sure a million peopel il come in here and say skunk2 pro1's but its completely un nessesary to run that much cam unless its a drag car.
the 1.06 on the gt isnt realy all that laggy belive it or not. id go with a gsr trans personally. Im running a gsr trans with ls cable 5th gear soo 4th to 5th isnt a huge transision rpm wise but i get a littl elower rpm on highway. im also running an LS 4.266 final drive to keep rpms down. running a .83 a/r stge 5 turbine wheel sc63
