Ok so I did some diggin through the pages and came up with nothing relivant to this kind of thread, so I figured why not? We got sohc boosted, ls booster, and ef boosted etc threads.
I made this thread to post up helpful info as well as to post up what kind of setup you are running. When I say what type I mean, head, block, trans, internals, top end, any special type of mods etc. EVERYTHING. Previous ls-v-t owners are welcomed to chime in as well
My setup:
97 spec gsr head reworked with type r springs and retainers, lifters, supertec flat faced back nitrade valves, ported head, valve job(the 90's not full...yet) not decided on cams yet. Shooting for top mount or equal legnth ram horn mani, aftermarket i/m, t/b, cam gears etc
93 b18b1 block, block guard(open deck), gsr block girdle, main caps chopped 14mm down on #3 to accept girdle, running type r crank fully knife edged, polished, mains 2 and 4 were ddrilled out to accept dowel pins from girdle. Undecided on pistons/rods but will be running 20 over
Trans is gsr 1st through 4th and ls 5th for freeway fun and crusing. Undecided on clutch and flywheel, but will be running 66 tooth count(4.40). Ring gear on gsr diff or lsd
