Ive never heard of an Air Breather Tank. Scuba maybe?
I don't think there is any difference. Other than someone calling a pcv catch can two different names. An oil catch can/tanks purpose is to separate and hold (catch) any oil and/or oil vapors from entering the intake or atmosphere through the crank case ventilation system.

I'm sorry I have no Idea what you where trying to say in this post.
Can you post a picture of the air breather tank?
Is this air breather tank attached to the air intake tube? If it is, it is probably a resonator or some sort. Used to reduce the amount of noise produced by the intake system.... In short it keeps your intake quiet and also keeps it from whistling.

i think what he is talking about is.
1. Air Breather Tanks ones with the filter on it
2. Oil Catch Tanks one that are sealed off enclosed type.
What are the diffence in the two?
