VTEC Spool CEL #21
Hi to all,
I have a USDM Acura Integra SE that used to have an LS-VTEC setup. Blew the engine, now running a JDM B18C1 GSR engine (so its VTEC solenoid does NOT have an oil pressure switch).
The same wiring setup would pop the VTEC on my old LS-VTEC setup (with oil pressure switch attached)
Running my P72 OBD2 ECU directly on the wiring harness on today's GSR engine would pop the VTEC at around ~5000RPM
However, on my properly chipped P06 (with OBD2a - OBD1 sub-harness from previous LS-VTEC setup) with VTEC hardware and S300 (P72 basemap), I get a Check Engine Light VTEC SPOOL and VTEC will not work.
Disabled Knock Sensor, tried to disable VTEC SPOOL error setting, tried to disable Oil Pressure Switch too.
What could be the cause of all of this mess?
