Vtec Oil problem.

Default Vtec Oil problem.

Hey i have a 2000 Sir and i noticed that it burns oil when i am in Vtec which is ok. i have been using Honda Oil every 6000k and honda oil filter....synthetic 5w30 now thinking of switching to something heavier?

is it ok to swich to something like 0W40 Mobile 1 or something else? or would that damage the engine...?

Try 10w30 first.
