Default "Virtual" Dyno (V-Dyno) Settings for Em1? What does one use?

Hi Guys,

Looking for verified v-dyno settings for the EM1 or if the pre-built 'Civic Dx' settings in v-dyno are close enough for that car?

It's likely partially that my road wasn't very flat but I'm sure the car is not making 275whp.

I guess it depends on what "Virtual World" you live on. If you want REAL results, spend a little coin and strap down to a REAL dyno.

V-Dyno is actually an extremely useful tuning tool which I use a frequently when tuning other platforms. Using it on my Honda for s...'s and giggles as it already has a dyno tune. I am not sure how much to trust the c.d. and frontal area numbers for the built in civic profile.

P.S. Almost certain my post title got changed or am I having a major brain fart? Didn't know people had the power to do that!

No Brain fart. Some of us tend to change titles on threads in order to deliver more clarity of your inquiry, keep redundant titles from appearing, and to get more feedback from others that may not be as familiar to your topic as you originally intend. It also assists in Google search results from keyword searches within Honda-Tech.

So, yes, it does happen on occasion, and usually you're notified of any title changes. If not, anything in the future, you'll be notified in advanced.

Are you talking about the Brad Barnhill software? I get fairly reasonable numbers out of mine, although I don't care too much about the absolute numbers, just the deltas when I'm tuning.

Check your aero numbers against this list to make sure they're close:

What engine mods have you done to the EM1 ??? What makes you believe that 275whp is inaccurate ???
