Default vc-3e on pr4

I have searched here and on google but cannot find the answer.
Will the spoon sports vc-3e vtec controller for on the pr4 ecu?
If so, would this be a way to get vtec to work on a mini me swap?
I know that its a piggy back for the ecu, but would there be a way to wire the vtec into there to engage the vtec?

Reason im asking is because i can pick up a brand new one for $60
