Default tuning/tuner options

hey guys..

I'm just really starting to look into the world of tuning, and am trying to figure some things out...

I've been putting pieces together slowly for my build (z6 turbo) and am now thinking about down the road for tuning.

There is a guy locally with a great rep for tuning (himself runs a 600+hp teg), however he is a ways out of town.

I don't have the know how yet to build this motor myself, so I'd like to have the motor built and then tuned in the same spot (thinking that if there are any problems, they will be more easily addressed) That being said, there is a guy in town here that has a shop that could do all this (tunes a lot of corvettes, mustangs, etc. >> high hp stuff) and now he is set up with crome.

I'm not sure what version he is running of crome yet, however, in the reading I've done, it seems some people are not so keen on it. The other tuner I mentioned does have ectune, which would keep things reasonable as far as cost.

My question here is, is crome going to do the trick for tuning, should I talk to this tuner about getting ectune, or should I go to the other tuner and let him do my tune?

Thanks!

If your tuner does not have a lot of experience on crome (years). I would suggest using hondata, ectune or neptune.

Good Luck.
