TPS voltage question
I have been having problems with my turbo gsr cutting out on me during upper rpms, its like it completly just looses all power and shuts down, but when you take your foot off the throttle and slam it down again it goes fine, now this to me seems like a tps problem and i have had problems dialing in my tps properly, at closed throttle its supposed to be at or close to .5 volts, and at wot its supposed to be close to 5 volts, well as close as i can get mine dialed in is at closed throttle .510 volts, and at a wot 4.69 volts, im wondering if this much of a low voltage at wot is causing my random shutdown problems, it sometimes happens a lot and sometimes it doesnt happen at all, im just at a loss for whats going on
When I measured my stock TPS it read 0.46v @ closed throttle and 4.48v @ WOT.
The majority of Honda manuals that I have read state that the "approximate" voltage should be 0.5v closed and 4.5v wide open. Reading that makes me think that anything close to those numbers should have you running properly. Another thing to check for is that the voltage readings move up and down smoothly when you open and close the throttle. If it jumps around the sensor is probably going bad and should be replaced.

If you have tuning software you can possibly skew these voltage settings within the software, I know with Neptune you can set what voltage is closed and what is open so you don't have to keep messing with it.
i on s300, and am still getting used to datalogging, so im not sure what all i can change with s300, but i may be loosing spark, i havnt changed my plugs in quite a while, and im going to change them here soon and see if this fixes my cutting out problem the spark blowing out seems to be a more reasonable explanation

Has this setup been tuned before or are you trying to do it yourself for the first time?

I'm not so sure that tps would cause your car to break up at all.. You should call your local tuning shop or find someone on here and ask about the steps to setting the voltage though.. like said above neptune will deff allow you to do so. S300 should be the same. Just click around and find it, wont hurt to get familiar with the software. Good luck with it!
i think thursday im going to do some datalogging and try and make it cut out on me, i fixed my wiring issue that was causing the car to run full rich on my 440 injectors, which shouldnt be that much fuel considering the whp im putting down, but the car wasnt cutting out at all for a while after i fixed my wiring to my temp sensor, and then after about 5 passes at the drag strip it started cutting out here and there and by the 10th run it was cutting out in every gear, but only in full boost
Check your WOT tune
Check your spark plugs
Check your fuel injectors
Question; Just how much WHP are you putting down?
If it's anything in the range of 300+ I would look at your injectors as a possible source of your problem. @ 90% duty cycle 440s would be at the limit for 300whp. If you have been pushing them to 100% duty cycle for a length of time you may want to have them cleaned & tested.
