Default TDC code 8 issue, dizzy is good.

Hi all,

I am currently having an issue with my ecu throwing up code 8 which is TDC. Ecu is a chipped p28, running a B16 NA. We have already tested another known good dizzy with the error still occuring (cleared then retested). I have also tested the resistance on the sensor wires on the dizzy plug which if i recall showed up 400~ohms (i believe normal range is 350-700?)

So i am just seeking a little more guidance to see if anyone else has had a similar issue.

The loom is an OBD2A and the car is a 97 Civic hatch.

Does any of the dizzy wiring go through the "redundant" blue plug on the loom? the one with the blanking bridging panel?

Check ECU. If not that, then you have bad wiring somewhere.

Hey, yeah. We did try a stock p30 ecu (forgot to mention), error still showed, so im going to run a fresh wire direct to the ecu to see if it clears it up.
