Questions about tuning
Hey so I have a 95 integra GSR that currently has an LS in it running on a chipped P28. Supposedly it has been chipped and is on a Crome LS basemap. My first question is how can i tell if this is legit i have opened up the ECU and kinda looked around inside but i would kinda like to know what i am looking for so that i can confirm it is on Crome (it has to be chipped on something because a P28 would not run my engine otherwise). Second i have done much research on street tuning dating back to when i had a RSX and was planning on getting KPRO so i understand the basics of how to tune and would like to try and maybe fine tune the Basemap a little. What would i need to do this and where can i get it. also my computer is a macbook and i know that Hondata will not run on a mac and i was wondering if crome would possibly or if there are any that will run on a mac. I will be picking up a wideband in the next few days and i plan on just completely getting rid of the stock 02 sensor so i will be using the 0-1v output from my wideband and was wondering if there was any way to wire it so that it will not throw the 02 sensor heater (code 41 i believe). Sorry for the huge post but i have all these questions and thought i would make one post instead of like 5 small ones. thanks in advance and please no flaming i am just trying to learn here everyone is a noob at some point and i have searched quite. Thanks
Open up the ecu & compare it to the pictured diagrams on http://www.phearable.net/tech
Concerning tuning the ecu, you should look into a system like Hondata s300 or Neptune RTP. If you are running a mac, neptune has software for it. Hondata maybe able to run via Mac, however I have not tested it.
Concerning your o2 sensor question, you can disable the o2 header code in the engine management.
