P28 ECU chipped?
A lot of people are using either a Moates Ostrich, Demon RTP, or Hondata. Chips with maps burnt on them work fine, it's just that the others allow real time changes for tuning.
I'd recommend Hondata simply because S300 has so many features and for the price, it's worth it. There aren't as many drivability issues as Chrome has. That being said, even though Chrome is free, a lot of people run that successfully. A local guy was running 30lbs of boost, no wastegate, on a TD05 on a D16Y7 using Chrome

or as it is never done get the ecu that actually RUNS your car. ie p73 or p30.
then chip it. just for when your saving money for your chip/program it'll run right.

Chips will always just say the part number for the chip. Be that a Texas Instruments, or some other electronics company.
There's no point in buying the ECU that runs your motor. People get P28s because they're cheaper. If a P72 and P28 were the same price, sure. Plus, most ECUs will run most motors. Not perfect, but it will run. Unmodded P28s run a GSR, I know that. Modified, the P28 can run any motor. I believe you can ad the components for the IABs for full functionality. If not by soldering, Hondata will enable you to.
